Andy Coverdale is a part-time Research Assistant working as part of the iRes team on the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) node of the research project Knowledge Networks. The VLE node is attempting to design and build an online space conducive to the learning needs of artists and designers within a Higher Education environment.

Andy has previously worked as a Shipyard fitter and technical illustrator and has experience in commercial illustration, graphic design and 3d modelling and visualisation. At University College Falmouth Andy is also involved in a Learning & Teaching project developing a set of digital portfolio workshops for students across the art and design subject areas.

Andy received a BA (Hons) in Technical Illustration from Blackpool and the Fylde College and in 2004 he graduated from Falmouth College of Arts with an MA in Interactive Art and Design.
