Workshop FilM_on_the_Fly

Artist, film maker and MA Interactive Art & Design lecturer Serena Rodgers assisted by iRes technologist Tim Shear and research assistant Ana Carvalho, invited the College community to experience the entire creative process of filmmaking in a single day, from the shoot through to the edit and final mastering onto DVD. Staff and students were asked to submit an idea for a film that deviated from mainstream narratives and then submit their films for an evening screening where the shorts were screened alongside a random selection of tunes from audience members’ MP3s.

Film_on_the_Fly is a new collaborative pool that supports the production and screening of free flow films. It provides workshops in experimental film production, and offers an opportunity for people to share their new film creations in club and festival settings.
